please continue to post jerry's reviews! my mouth is watering for the fried kibbe. but i'm on weight watchers so i'm starving myself--weigh in is tomorrow. i was down 2 lbs but then i went to the Cherrysinger gift exchange and ate t least 2 lbs of bread pudding cake on top of 5 lbs worth of cheese.
We like to pick new restaurants if possible, like Eatbar when it first opened, and he also did the new Sunflower when it opened. And we like to pick places close by that Lyon Park people would go to. Ooh, he also did Willow in Ballston, which I highly recommend if you haven't been there. Next up hopefully is Restaurant Three, a new place in Clarendon where the greek place used to be. Anyone want to join us? Jerry writes every other month so next will be February.

Congrats - great piece.
At what point will you begin to abuse your new status? I'm envisioning you in a camel hair coat and white silk scarf, demanding a better table and complimentary appetizers at Queen Bee. "Don't you know who I am?!," you'll bellow.
I desperately hope that someone from Tallula or EatBar recognizes me. I would give anything to hear the phrase, "Oh! Mr. Munk, I am sorry YOU were told there is a two-hour wait for a table -- lines are for the sodden masses. Come right this way, we've cleared our best table for you." (Meanwhile some elderly couple in mid-celebration of their 75th wedding anniversary has been shuffled off to a card table by the bathroom and offered a free dessert.)
Alas, the readership of the Lyon Park Citizen is more limited than I would like, especially among restaurant professionals.
