OOOOOOOO - again so good. Juliet backstory. Ben is crazy!! I can't wait to find out how he manipulated Said. And we know now that OC dad is the boat. I don't understand how whitmore is going to turn the island into a tourist trap so that people can get better from sickness. They haven't proven that if you leave you will still be better, and what about the whole time shifting issue? How would people have a constant. I don't think it will work but interesting story arc.

The reveal last night may not have been the most dramatic, since they were hinting at his involvement last week, but I wouldn't believe Ben for a minute. I still don't think we know close to anything about Widmore's involvement with the Island (was that 1996 Desmond that was getting beaten up on that video?). As far as the ep being a bit slow, this show used to do that right before a big episode/cliffhanger. Because of the writer's strike its hard ot tell where in the season they are (i.e. would this originally have been leading up to some sort of huge episode) so maybe that's what was going on.
I've got my money on Michael being Ben's man on the boat.
yes - ben says it's not who you think
senor bananagrabber Posted at 16:08 on Fri, 03/07/2008got to be michael. it's got to be! would make sense too, since he's been to the island and back.
big question - harper appears in the rain in the middle of the field when juliet hears the whispers. if she's a figment of their imagination, how did jack see her? if she's real, why aren't they more puzzled that she appeared and disappeared out of nowhere? they just sort of accept it without question.
Also
Right before she appeared Juliet was hearing those whipers that we have heard before in connection with the Others' prior appearances in the jungle as well as the smoke - there's no reason to think she's not alive since we know that there were a bunch of "Others" that we never saw die but we haven't seen for awhile (i.e. Richard) but was she there in flesh and blood or as an apparition? Either way, she has her own freaky little leit motif.
Speaking of Harper - she told Juliet that it was no surprise Ben liked her, since "she looked so much like her." Who did she mean? Ben's mother? Another chick that had been on the Island before Juliet?
yes
