So they have now started SYTYCD here in the UK. Cat Deely is still part of the show, it is on the BBC. It is funny that I had forgotten how bad the first season of SYTYCD in the US was because it is showing up on this one.

Of the top 20, I would say 5 of them are good and the rest are either OK to pretty poor. I am hoping now that it is on, next year will be better.

So I got all busy with working and sometimes when that happens, I just don't have the time to be blogging as well. But back in the game again. Starting with Lost. So what did everyone think?

I just finished watching the season finale of Mad Men. OMG - So good. All the women standing up to Don. Don breaking down. New company. Loved it. Here is a great recap of Roger Sterling one liners from the season.

Sometimes you need a brain break. So here is mine for the day.

In St. Maarten. The airport has a particularly short runway that ends just 40 feet from beach, leaving large planes just barely enough room to land. So they have to come in low, directly over the beach, making it a prime destination for an afternoon of quiet, relaxing sunbathing.(via Cracked.com)

In an only can happen in Vegas scenario, I am walking out of the Venetian tonight and look up and see they have a T-Rex on display. WHICH YOU CAN BUY IN AN AUCTION. October 3. So in case you were in need of a giant dinosaur for your living room, better get to Vegas on the 3rd.The T-Rex name is Samson.

So back when I was a freshman in high school, I got my first pair of black high top chuck tailors. I LOVED them. I called them my "shiny happy people" shoes mostly because my mom bought them for me only if I would promise not to complain if I was wearing them. I am not sure I was actually able to keep that promise, but I think sometimes  I tried. I wore them with skirts, and dresses and flannel shirts sometimes I would switch up between them and the black Doc's, but I loved these shoes. Then I got a pair of low tops that were green with yellow stitching and those were equally amazing. 

By the time 1995 rolled around, the chuck fetish had kind of worn off, I think it was more about the Steve Madden shoes going into college, but I am pretty sure there are pictures from freshman year of college with the green chucks (and I think a warner bros t-shirt). 

  

Let's talk about the new Melrose. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would and I like the mystery storyline. I thought Ashely Simpson-Wentz was terrible and I think she's the killer and she won't be a permanent character. I looooved Michael Mancini and I'm so glad he's back and that one of the main characters is his son. Who would his mom be? I can't remember who Michael ended up with on the show.

So this past weekend my friend Chris was here and Sunday we went to one of my fav markets Spitalfields market. Chris took some great pictures from the day.
